In response to "the Belt and Road" initiative of China and the decisions of Chengdu municipal party committee and Chengdu Municipal government of accelerating the implementation of “going out” strategy by state-owned enterprises in Chengdu, after learning about relevant energy projects in Pakistan and Sri Lanka, from March 10 to 19, a delegation of companies including Xingcheng Group, Sichuan Provincial Investment Group and Chengdu Engineering Corporation Limited visited Pakistan and Sri Lanka to carry out investigations on Projects such as the wind power project in Sindh province, Pakistan, the wind power plant project of China Three Gorges Corporation in Sindh province and the photovoltaic project in Sri Lanka. Meanwhile, the delegation visited the Department of Energy of Sindh province, Pakistan, the Land Bureau of Thatta District, Sindh province, the Ministry of Higher Education and Highways of Sri Lanka, the Investment Committee of Sri Lanka and other governmental agencies and Sri Lanka-China Trade Investment Association, the Federation of Overseas Chinese and Chinese in Sri Lanka and other several trade associations. The delegation gained insight into the projects, new energy investment policies, investment environment for projects like highways and real estates of Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
Next, Xingcheng Group will cooperate with companies like Sichuan Provincial Investment Group and Chengdu Engineering Corporation Limited to accelerate the investment analysis and decision-making process of the wind power project in Sindh province, Pakistan and the photovoltaic project in Sri Lanka, endeavoring to play a leading part in implementing the “going out” strategy among state-owned enterprises in Chengdu.
