On August 24, 2018, the 2018 Chengdu-Russia Economic and Trade Cooperation Promotion Conference was held in Moscow, capital of Russia. More than 200 people attended the promotion conference, including representatives of Chinese embassy in Russia, delegation of Chengdu municipal government, representatives of Moscow government, representatives of Moscow business associations, representatives of companies in Moscow and representatives of companies in Chengdu. Fan Ruiping, member of standing committee of Sichuan provincial party committee and secretary of Chengdu municipal party committee, Delize, the deputy head of the Department for External Economic and International Relations of the Government of Moscow and Su Fangqiu, minister of Chinese embassy in Russia addressed the meeting respectively and they jointly witnessed the signing ceremony for Chengdu-Russia economic and trade cooperation projects.
Ren Zhineng, secretary of the party committee and chairman of Chengdu Xingcheng Group was invited to attend the promotion conference. During the signing ceremony for Chengdu-Russia Cooperation projects, he exchanged the cooperation agreement and reached an agreement over the cooperation with Kornilayev, vice chairman of the board of directors of VIS group. In the future, Chengdu Xingcheng Group will make the best of its experience and capacities in the investment, construction and operation of infrastructure to cooperate with VIS group for projects including the public infrastructure project of Yakutia in Russia and Russian Mansiyskiy Cultural Center project.
The signing is a breakthrough made by Chengdu Xingcheng Group in carrying out business in Russia and is a big step in implementing the “going out” strategy of the group. Next, Chengdu Xingcheng Group will focus on the Russian market and integrate its international engineering resources to make contributions to the China-Russia comprehensive strategic partnership of coordination.
